When life is difficult, it can be hard to unwind. If you feel unhappy or anxious this usually leads to a negative and preoccupied mind. I teach a meditation practice that is effortless and simple. It will enable you to find an oasis of calm within, that you can draw on when you feel overwhelmed.
There is scientific evidence now that shows how meditation helps the mind. It reduces the neuro-chemical pathways in the brain that are linked to stress, anxiety and depression, and it stimulates the pathways associated with relaxation, inner calm and emotional resilience.
Through meditation we start to find a place of stillness within, even in the midst of disturbing situations. We also develop the capacity to feel empathy for others where, before, we might have felt overwhelmed by insecurity, self- judgement or a lack of connection.
